Letter From the Publisher

As we move into the cooler months we find ourselves with shorter days and cooler nights.  Our outdoor projects are beginning to wrap up and bring us inside to work on areas that may have been neglected during the busy summer months.  We recognize this trend and want to help you finish a few of your landscaping projects and turn your focus indoors.

With fall officially here the bright colors of your summer blooms are quickly being replaced with the changing colors of leaves.  These are absolutely gorgeous until there are more leaves in your yard than on the trees.  Our green gardening article will give you some great ideas on how to use those leaves to improve your lawn in the coming seasons.

We also have a great selection of indoor remodeling articles for you to browse through.  We have ideas for you to read on how to update, or
upgrade, your bathroom, kitchen appliances, and even your fireplace.

We also settle a few of those common wallpaper myths once and for all.

If you are looking to enjoy some of the happenings around this area you will find information on that here as well.  We have a feature article on Urbanna; highlighting not only the Oyster Festival, which is the first weekend in November, but also exploring the lodging, dining, and shopping within this quaint town.  There are even a few tips for this upcoming Haloween season in store for you.

Our informational pieces will give you insight into the use of golf carts on public streets, which is not just for gated communities anymore, and what is going on with the Essex County Countryside Alliance, an organization looking to save the farmland in our region.
Other articles you can look forward to perusing include a feature article on Delta Marine Construction, how to re-energize for winter, information on fall rummage sales, and other great outdoor activities for this time of year.

We hope you have as much fun reading these articles as we did putting them together.  Happy Fall! — jlb .
